Blood Surf
Blood Surf
This is an artistic interpretation of the VHS cover for the early 2000s film “Blood Surf,” a campy, CGI-infused direct-to-video aquatic horror movie. I always thought that this cover was particularly striking, both menacing and refreshing. As I am writing this it is the middle of July and an extremely watery image such as this is nice to look at.
If you purchase this original mixed media painting, it will instill your life with a summery splash every time you walk by it. The crocodile mouth is a way to honor the power and fierceness of the natural world. This is a 20 by 16 inch piece. It is painted on archival Canson illustration board, which is essentially a thick, robust paper. It has standard dimensions and is easily framed.
You can view the details on here, but the only way to really relish the vibrancy and power of this image is to see it in person. It is sure to be a remarkable centerpiece in any room. Be sure to keep out of direct sunlight.
